John 1:1- 2
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.
We have seen His glory,
the glory of the One and Only,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, in Christ the Living Word, we come to see that the Bible, from beginning to end, is the story of God’s mission of love to rescue us through His son Jesus Christ, that is still unfolding today.
We believe the original human authors who wrote the first handwritten scriptures of the Bible, were inspired by the Holy Spirit guiding them to record God’s revelation of the exact message God desired to give humanity.
Through the various personalities and writing styles of over 40 authors, the 66 books of the Bible were written on three different continents, in three different languages over a period of approximately 1500 years. Yet with all this diversity;
Scripture is consistent from Genesis through Revelations in pointing to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King.
In God’s Word, the Bible, we see the amazing unfolding story of God’s love that is seen in Jesus Christ for everyone. It is our creator’s desire to restore each of us to the eternal relationship He always intended for us to have with Him since the dawn of time.
Christ is still actively building His church and adding daily to the family of God as He continues to call all of His children home; out of the darkness and into the light by the power of His love.
As we prayerfully read, study and share God’s word with one another, the Holy Spirit gives us increasing light and insight to see more clearly God’s love expressed in His beautiful word’s of truth.
