Prayer
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him
and he will make your paths straight.
Matthew 21:13
Jesus said to them, “It is written”,
‘My house shall be called a house of prayer.’
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Prayer is the beautiful gift God has given us in Christ through which we can talk with our heavenly Father. The simple, honest cry of our hearts connects us with our heavenly Father’s heart as we seek His help in every area of our lives.
We are learning that the joy of prayer springs from fellowship with Christ
and our heavenly Father and is the source of all blessing.
It is through individual and corporate prayer we grow, by the grace we have been given in Christ, in loving relationship with Him and one another. We are learning to make prayer the very foundation of our personal lives and life in all aspects of our church family.
Jesus does not want us to worry about the future, but it is His desire
that we join Him in creating the future through prayer.
