Do you need to access food?
We are here to help you.

We meet at the church: (12891, Lagoon Road)
on a bi-weekly basis on
Food Bank Monday,
opening 11:00-12:30.

We supply vulnerable people with non-perishable and fresh food:
meat, dairy, cereals, bread and produce, personal hygiene products, diapers.

We have a community supported Blessing Box for those who run short in between times.

We serve 200+ monthly.

We are entirely a volunteer run society, volunteer opportunities available.

Whether you wish to give funds, food, or have campaign ideas, there are many ways to help.

You may make an e-transfer donation via the email address: penderharbourfoodbank@gmail.com

Our History

The Pender Harbour Food Bank was founded in 1995 and has been community supported through donations received from local businesses, community groups and individuals.

Under the 24 year guidance of Wendy and Ron Phillips, the food bank operated out of a storage room in their basement, meeting twice monthly out of the community room at the church.

There, volunteers gathered on Mondays to unpack purchased and donated food items to distribute the non-perishable food amongst the hampers for the community’s vulnerable.

The onset of the COVID pandemic brought a new coordinator, the need for more volunteers and expansion as the client numbers grew.
