Relationship

John 6:35

Jesus declared, “ I am the bread of life.
He who comes to me will never go hungry,
and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”

John 13:34 -35

A new command I give you: love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know you are my disciples,
if you love one another.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three come together
in my name,
there I am with them.

The church is not a building we go to but as believers it is the Body of Christ we belong to. Whenever and where ever we gather in two’s or three’s or larger groups, with our focus on Jesus, He is there with us and together with Him we are functioning as the church He is building and bringing honor and glory to His name.

As believers in Christ we are united into one very large family where God Himself is our Father. As God’s children we are invited by Jesus to gather as a family around the table, that He has prepared for us, where we learn together with one another:

- to celebrate the joys of life and grieve through the pain that life can bring;

- to talk with our Father through prayer and share God’s word as the Spirit leads us;

- to be honest about our struggles and look to Jesus for God’s best;

- to care for one another as Jesus helps us meet needs and lift burdens;

- and to always encourage one another to become obedient followers of Christ.
